Get the latest version of the Data Exchange software from the Internet.
Connect the RS-232 cable between the PC and the tester.
Ensure that the COM port used by Data Exchange coincides with the one connected to the tester.
Check the serial interface settings in the GSM tester, which should be identical to the ones used by Data Exchange: On the tester, select SETUP > Serial Port > Enter. Parameters to check: Baudrate, RX/TX Lines = Normal, Protocol = X-ON/X-OFF; push Escape twice.
In Data Exchange, select Firmware Update, confirm with OK (file window pops up), select file (XXX_std.bin), and confirm with Open.
The download of the mobile list starts.
Do not forget to set the Baudrate to the value you had before, since it is set to the default value of 9600 after the download.
