Terminal testing is used for checking and calibrating mobile telephones and equipment during factory production, service centre repairs and for functional tests in sales outlets. Spectrum analyzers are used for all wireless applications in areas such as antenna and satellite maintenance, radiation measurements, general repair and military applications. Willtek’s engineering expertise reflects 45 years of skill and experience in testing radio frequency (RF) environments.
The main R&D and production centre for Willtek’s products is in Ismaning near Munich, Germany. Willtek has sales and service centres and representatives all over the world.
Foundation and development:
Since July 2005, Willtek Communications is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wireless Telecom Group, Inc. Willtek Communications was formed in May 2002 following a management buy-out of Acterna's Wireless Instruments Operation (WIO). However, the roots of the company go back as far as 1957, providing it with a legacy of in-depth industry experience under the names of Solartron, Schlumberger, Wavetek, Wavetek Wandel Goltermann, and Acterna.

Willtek provides local support through a wide network of partners and accredited service centres across the globe. This network offers customer support services and customises solutions to user requirements. This network of partners is supported by regional service centres managed directly by Willtek.

Willtek is driving forward research and development of innovative test solutions for 3G mobile networks and telephones. The company has research and development establishments in Europe and works with engineering partners in different parts of the world.
