Matthias Weber
Managing Director of Willtek Communications

Matthias Weber accepted the position of Managing Director in March 2008. He has served as Willtek’s Director of Product Marketing since July 2004, and is responsible for Willtek’s product portfolio of mobile phone test equipment and spectrum analyzers. Mr. Weber has been with Willtek since October 1999, when he joined as a Product Marketing Manager. From October 1995 to September 1999 Mr. Weber served as Manager in Product Planning for Sony’s mobile phone division. He was responsible for the development of mobile phones, both Sony’s own development, as well as the joint development with Siemens. From October 1989 to September 1995 Mr. Weber served at Schlumberger Technologies, first as a development engineer and later as a product manager for mobile phone test equipment. Matthias Weber holds a master degree of Electrical Engineering from Technical University, Munich, and an MBA from Open University Business School (OUBS, Milton Keynes, UK).

Matthias Weber co-authored two books on GSM: "An introduction to GSM" (1995) and "GSM and Personal Communication Handbook" (1998), both published by Artech House.
