Test & Measurement World readers recognize Willtek’s 9101 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer for its performance, size and price

Ismaning/Chessington/Indianapolis, 26 February, 2004 – During the APEX and IPC Printed Circuits Expo in Anaheim, California last Tuesday, Willtek Communications received the "Test Product of the Year" award from Test & Measurement World (T&MW) for its 9101 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer. The readers of T&MW, a leading magazine on test procedures and equipment, voted for the 9101 out of 12 nominated “Best in Test” products. This nomination confirms that since its launch in November 2002, the 9101 has become an industry standard as the best in its class of high-end handheld spectrum analyzers, bringing to users functionalities and specifications generally offered in lab equipment.

In the December issue of Test & Measurement World, the editors had selected and introduced the 9101 as one out of 12 new products they found particularly innovative or useful. They highlighted that most applications are conducted with a push of just one button, and were delighted by the fact that the 9101 includes many features offered by sophisticated lab instruments, all in a handheld package weighing less than 5 pounds.

About the Willtek 9101 Handheld Spectrum Analyzer

The 9101 is a low cost, full-featured spectrum analyzer with applications in mobile phone service centres, Wireless Local Loop and for new 2.4 GHz WiFi systems. Typical measurements look at transmitter characteristics, alignment of modulators and measure amplifier gain. With a frequency range of 100 kHz to 4 GHz, the 9101 can test all modern wireless local oscillators, plus the harmonics and spurs that sneak into the pass-band.
