Willtek eases TETRA testing with test automation software
Repair shops conveniently check TETRA radios with Stabilock and Lector software
Ismaning (Germany) and Cheadle Hulme (UK), 11 August 2009 – Willtek Communications today introduced the latest release of its well-proven Lector test automation software, adding support for TETRA radio testing. The same software used to simplify GSM, WCDMA and CDMA2000 handset testing now provides TETRA terminal testing with just a few mouse clicks. A basic version of the software is available for download from Willtek’s website at no cost. Enhanced versions are also available that provide features and functionality required for more demanding testing applications.
Lector speeds up testing in repair centres. Incoming inspection and final test technicians can run tests on several test stations simultaneously from one PC. Results are reproducible and traceable, ideal for servicing over the lifetime of TETRA terminals. Lector can also automate daily testing of TETRA terminals for emergency first responders. In line with ISO-9000 documentation requirements, Lector can generate and store test reports.
The test automation software supports different test modes in the TETRA radios. Depending on the brand of the TETRA terminal, one or the other test mode is required, particularly for receiver testing.
