Q: How can I identify and measure distortions occuring at irregular intervals?

A: Select a frequency range that you want to survey, e.g. by entering the start and the stop frequency, respectively. Select max hold. Any temporary signal peak will be kept on the display; frequency and level can be read using the marker. You may want to use hold/run to prevent new measurements from disturbing you while reading out the last maximum.
