3100 Mobile Fault Finder

Applications

Point of Sale, Point of Return
The new 3100 primarily is used to verify the operation of wireless devices at the point of return (i.e. where the customer returns the device with a potential problem).  Using the 3100, operators can quickly and easily identify if the device is broken or not.  Determining whether a device is truly broken saves shipment and other associated costs that would not be needed for phones identified as still operational.

Service Centres
The main problem most service centres face today with new WCDMA phones is the lack of Go/NoGo test equipment that allows them to conduct simple failure analysis of these new phones.  The 3100 Mobile Fault Finder fills this need, enabling non-technical personnel to check WCDMA phones for errors.
In the service environment there are many stages of the repair process.  The 3100 is targeted for the incoming functional and outgoing functional operation in this environment.  The incoming functional test is used to determine “work to be performed” for the device under test.  The test is performed and depending on the performance of the device or test failures, the device is then routed to a different repair station.  The post-functional test is a final verification before the device is returned to the customer.
