Speed improvements in WCDMA testing with the 3100 and the 4400 series

A new protocol stack and better optimised measurement software can bring our WCDMA test solutions to a new speed level, in particular if you activate the new HSDPA-capable protocol stack for normal WCDMA testing. During the design phase of the new stack we spent extra effort to make it even more efficient than the existing WCDMA stack.

Try out the new stack for normal WCDMA operation! This is how to do it:

• In manual mode, select Tools > Config > Setup > Version of WCDMA stack: Release 5
• In remote mode, send the following SCPI command:
  CONFigure:CSYStem:WCDMa:STACk REL5
• In Lector/Scriptor, open “C:\Program Files\\Willtek\731X Lector-Scriptor\Data\Init\ PreProcessing.ini” and change the entry under [Stack5] to Activation=1

In a normal WCDMA Lector test script (WC_LT) the measurement time is reduced by 36% from 1 minute 28 seconds down to 56 seconds.
