The OCXO option is an oven-controlled oscillator, thus providing a high accuracy frequency source: temperature characteristic: 5 * 10^-8 max, aging characteristic 10^-7 max./year.

The power supply provides power to the mobile phone under test: the current characteristics are similar to a proper battery, the power supply is sufficient for two time slots per frame, ready for GPRS, voltage level control through user interface, remote control or RAPID! programming language, open-ended power supply connection cable included.

MeThe current measurement upgrade is complimentary to the power supply option and requires this option. The option provides an integrated current meter, e.g. to identify short-circuit situations, eases handling for the user. The 4400 user can test RF, audio and power consumption with one test instrument. Measurement possibilities: power, peak current and average current measurements, Numerical or graphical (current vs. time) representation of results. Statistical evaluation and overload detection.

4489 Bluetooth Connectivity Test Package

The 4489 Bluetooth Connectivity Test Package for the 4400 Series Mobile Phone Testers consists of the 4941 Bluetooth Connectivity Hardware, an option key and changes to the RAPID! Evaluation Test Scripts to allow the mobile to be tested during a normal test.  The Bluetooth test will then be part of the print-out and data saved to disk.

1209 Downconverter

With the 1209 Downconverter, radio signals from the device under test can be converted to a frequency range which is supported by the 4400. In the other direction, a test signal from the instrument can be converted to a different frequency range to stimulate the receiver in the phone under test. This way, basic tests using the instrument’s generator, power meter and spectrum analyzer capabilities can be used to test the Wireless LAN, GPS, Bluetooth and Mobile TV transceiver built into the phone, without the need for additional test equipment and possibly without the need for changing the connections.
