Improved repeatability with 4916 Antenna Coupler and new shuttle

The 4916 Antenna Coupler with the 4921 RF Shield already was the optimum solution to connect mobile phones to a wireless device tester. The coupler has now been further improved with the introduction of the XY Shuttle, improving measurement accuracy and repeatability in Wideband CDMA systems.

With the XY Shuttle, the position of the phone on the coupler can be adjusted in two dimensions (horizontally and vertically). In most phones, the antenna is not centered but on one side of the housing. Optimal positioning over the coupler’s antenna can result in better measurement repeatability and also higher accuracy due to lower coupling loss factors.

The 4916 Antenna Coupler is now available with four different shuttles: with the conventional shuttle, the new XY Shuttle, the PDA Shuttle and the 1210 PCMCIA Data Card Testing Option.
