Willtek Communications and Saab Test Systems form Strategic Alliance for Improved Mobile Phone Manufacturing Test Solutions

First joint test system eases mobile phone production

Ismaning/Chessington/Indianapolis/Stockholm, 15 April 2003 - Willtek Communications and Saab Test Systems today launched a strategic alliance for the development of manufacturing test systems, to improve the testing of mobile phones at the production stage. The alliance builds on Willtek’s competence to design and manufacture high speed, high precision mobile phone testers and Saabs’ broad experience in test solutions, test tools, consultancy and support.

The combination of both companies’ skills brings about a high level of competence to provide manufacturing solutions with individual requirements in mind. The first combined offering, the Willtek 6800 Production Test System, is already available.

The new alliance has been formed to strengthen both companies’ product portfolios and to combine their individual competences to the benefit of global manufacturers of wireless terminals. Within the testing industry, both companies have a strong reputation for their customer focus and support.
